Good news ...

Just a quick update - we went to the doctor yesterday to have Jackson's blood checked again. And praise the Lord ... his numbers were higher than last week, which is a great thing. And he's gained another pound so he now weighs 7 lbs 14 oz. He was 4 lbs 2 oz when he was born so he's almost doubled. I'm sure by next Thursday, which is when he'll be two month birthday, he'll have reached that mark. Pretty good for a little guy who is still considered -1 week old :)

Thanks for your prayers - we appreciate every one! We don't go back to the doctor until the 15th for his shots and two month check up. That's the longest period of time that we haven't seen a doctor since about November!

Getting Bigger

Hope you enjoy these new pictures of Jackson. He is getting so much bigger and stronger. We go back to the doctor tomorrow for another blood test to check his anemia numbers so prayerfully and hopefully his numbers will look okay. Right now he is sleeping so I'm trying to steal at least 20 minutes to get some things done, namely bottle washing and posting. Amazing how much less you are able to accomplish all of a sudden .. don't get me wrong, I totally love taking care of Jackson as opposed to doing anything else. But I'm just amazed at how fast my days go by now. I really have to make a good plan if anything else is to get done.

We went for a walk last night and it was fun. I find it almost hilarious that I would say going for a walk was "fun" - before Jackson was here, going for a walk did not ever sound like fun to me. It's great how a baby changes the way you look at things. At any rate, thanks for continuing to pray for our family .. we appreciate it very much and are so blessed.
